Rose Festival at St. Anne’s Park, Raheny, Dublin 5

The Rose Festival takes place this week end – Saturday and Sunday the 20th and 21st July from 10 am to 5pm both days.  One of Dublin’s biggest family festivals, the Rose Festival will bring you much more than the beautiful roses at the peak of their flowering season. Set in the 270 acre historic St. Anne’s Park, the 2013 Rose Festival will provide a variety of entertainment to keep all the family happy.

People are invited to check out what’s happening in the Rose Festival Village – Archaeology Workshops, Woolly Wards Farm, a carousel and climbing tower. Family drop-in art workshops will keep the budding artists busy at the Red Stables while the Ladies of the Allotment Committee will be giving talks on the skill of bee-keeping.

For our gardening enthusiasts there will be plant sellers, nurseries, garden centres and florists, master composters, recyclers and up-cyclers! The HerbBis installation is delighted to be returning to the Rose Festival this year displaying hundreds of medicinal plants with free talks and demonstrations by qualified Herbalists, Naturopaths and Nutritionists. Plant and portering service provided.

Dublin City Council’s Libraries will present Libraries Grow in the Park. Visit the mobile library during the afternoon and chat to the staff. Maybe join up and take a book home!
